Daryl Hung Tim Sang is a student with Chinese descent and born in Mauritius. After graduating from high school, he decided to pursue tertiary studies at Xi’an Jiaotong Liverpool University and graduated with a BEng. (Hons) in Civil Engineering. Unlike many students from his cohort, Daryl has chosen to directly embark on a professional career, rather than pursuing postgraduate studies.

“I personally believe that gaining experience as a new Civil Engineer will be most helpful, as it will allow me to understand the subject from an experienced perspective when I decide to continue on with my studies.”

The SIP Project Management Award, along with design awards supported by ARUP, is helping to encourage graduates to strive for even greater heights in their engineering career. The SIP prize was initiated in 2013 and is awarded annually.
