Amendment to the New Advertising Law came into force in September. Advertising rules affect many sectors including education and training. The new rules are specific about the role of minors used in advertising, endorsement of products and services, advertising on buses, electronic advertising, advertising in primary and secondary schools and more. While most international schools should not be overly concerned about the changes, it is worth reviewing the rules closely to make sure your organisation complies with the legislation. There are some areas requiring further clarification/interpretaion around electronic advertising/social media and sponsorship.
