Member of the UK-China Hub for Offshore Wind Signs MoU with State Power Investment Corporation

On Tuesday 7 November, Tekmar Energy, member of the UK-China Hub for Offshore Wind, signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC), one of the key developers in China in the offshore wind sector.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by Mr. Sun Yi, Vice Mayor of City Yancheng, and Jake Berry MP, Minister for the Northern Powerhouse and Local Growth. Phil Roebuck, Executive Director of the Chamber, signed the MoU on behalf of Tekmar Energy, and Mr. Zhang Yi, General Manager of SPIC Jiangsu Offshore Wind Power Co., Ltd, signed on behalf of SPIC.

The MoU aims to establish a closer working relationship between Tekmar and SPIC, and to support SPIC’s ambition to grow its global Offshore Wind portfolio, as well as to support Tekmar’s ambition to grow its position within the Chinese Offshore Wind market.
