Scottish Development International to Join Forces with The UK-China Hub for Offshore Wind

Published on 2017-09-13

On Tuesday, 12 September, the British Chamber Shanghai met with Scottish Development International (SDI) and shared views on the two organisations’ partnership for The UK-China Hub for Offshore Wind (the Hub).

At the meeting, Phil Roebuck, the Chamber’s Executive Director, updated David Leven, Greater China Director of SDI, on the Hub and its initiative in China, as well as how the Hub works on a ‘one-on-one’ basis with companies to support their entry into the Chinese market for offshore wind.

David said: “Scotland has a very strong track record in terms of offshore wind market development plus a strong subsea engineering supply chain that is looking to win business in China.  I’d be really keen to see SDI become an even stronger part of this initiative, and for both SDI and the Hub to join up our activities in relation to offshore wind trade and investment.”
