How many Christmas trees are sold each year? When were the first Christmas lights used? How well do you know Christmas traditions?

In keeping with the festive spirit, the Chamber will be holding a Christmas mixer with a special Christmas themed pub quiz. The quiz will feature a few rounds to test your general knowledge including geography, China, music, a ‘quick-fire’ Christmas round and more. Winners will win a special Chamber sponsored prize.

We suggest teams of four, but individuals are also most welcome.

To be in with a chance to win a prize, be sure to bring your thinking caps to our Christmas Mixer!

As is Chamber tradition, we will be supporting charities during this time of giving. This year, our Christmas Mixer will be supporting two charities, Mifan Mama & The Renewal Center.

We would like to take this opportunity to ask members to kindly donate children's toys, through the Chamber, from previous years in support of Mifan Mama’s “Boxes of Love” which will be distributed to rural areas in China. Members may also donate warm winter clothes, shoes and blankets to The Renewal Center, through the Chamber, for the homeless people in Shanghai to survive the cold winter. It doesn’t have to be new, old ones in good condition are also acceptable. You may bring the toys or warm clothes to the event, or deliver them to Chamber office before the event, address it to [Jasmine Wang](

Further information on our supported charities to follow.

When and where do I leave the gift?
At the Christmas Mixer on Thursday, 5 December. If you cannot bring donations to the Mixer but would like to donate, please bring your gift to the Chamber office at 5/F, Marks and Spencer Building, 863 Nanjing Xi Lu. Monday to Friday, 10am - 5pm, before 11 December.
