2020年9月25日，经国务院批准，证监会、央行和外汇局公布了《合格境外机构投资者和人民币合格境外机构投资者境内证券期货投资管理办法》（简称《QFII、RQFII办法》），自11月1日起施行。此后，证监会、交易所、登记结算机构陆续出台配套规则，更多的实施细则预期将于2021年落地，中国资本市场开放进入新的发展阶段。

On 25 September 2020, with the approval of The State Council, the CSRC, the Central Bank and the SAFE jointly issued the new QFII/RQFII regulations, which will come into force on 1 November. Thereafter, the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), Stock Exchange and Securities registration and settlement organizations have developed supporting rules, and more implementing rules are expected to be landed in 2021. This is a major break through to the current QFII/RQFII regime.
