Flexible working hours are on the rise around the globe. In a recent workforce study with over 24,000 professionals organised by Polycom, 85% of the respondents in China said their company offers flexible working arrangements.  Worldwide, nearly two thirds of the global workforce take advantage of anywhere working. Is this only a fad emerging in the wake of an ever-more globalised world, or is this a real trend that will continue? And what are the benefits and drawbacks?

Gender equality is another hot topic that keep companies busy. What can employers do to improve gender equality? Is it mostly about equal pay and mentoring or is there more than can be done. To discuss these two interesting questions, SwissCham Shanghai and British Chamber Shanghai's HR Focus Group invite several speakers, including:

  • Jeannette Yu - Partner | Head of Employment & Pensions, CMS China
  • Olegario Monegal - President | Chairman of the Board, Firmenich China
  • Susan Zhang - Head HR of Firmenich in China
  • Godelieve van Dooren - EDGE representative | Partner, Mercer
