Foreign Expats VISA Policy Updates Briefing by Shanghai Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs

Please kindly note the speaker will deliver her presentation in Chinese, however, on-site consecutive interpretation will be available.

Since 1 April, 2017, Shanghai has implemented new visa rules under its pilot Foreign Worker Visa Program. The reform also introduced a Foreigner’s Work Permit card. While the new reforms were aimed at easing visa procedures, many companies have reported difficulties under the new programme. In order to help member companies gain a better understanding of the reforms,  SwissCham Shanghai and British Chamber Shanghai will co-host a briefing by Mrs. Zhu Yinghua from Shanghai Foreign Expert Affairs Bureau/Shanghai Human Resources and Social Security Bureau on the new policies. Mrs. Zhu’s bureau is responsible for implementing the new reform. Following her briefing, there will be a Q&A session.
