This one day training session is a board-based business simulation. Participants will be grouped into teams to learn how to monitor cash flow, make resource utilisation improvements, and measure results in the balance sheet and income statement. While exploring the factors that impact a company’s financial statements – they will develop a solid business sense that can help guiding their future decisions in everyday work.

Concepts in the simulation

  • Business finance (KPI’s, balance sheet, profit and loss statement, cash flow, working capital)
  • Value drivers
  • Utilisation of staff
  • Delivery efficiency
  • Multi skilling
  • Tangible and intangible assets
  • Market value

Through the simulation, participants learn how:

  • Daily decisions impact the company strategically and financially
  • Small changes in operations can significantly improve bottom line results
  • Their business generates profits today – and how it will need to generate profits in the future

Speaker Introduction

Vivien Newrzella

Vivien is a strong intercultural communicator with specialised knowledge in business in China. Before joining Celemi in 2017, she headed the Training & BD department at her previous company. She has extended experience facilitating and training employees in sales and executive functions across industries such as – hospitality, food & beverage, healthcare and professional services.

She has been living in Shanghai since 2014 and has engaged with the community as a speaker at the German Chamber of Commerce and as a guest lecturer at Tongji University.                                                                    

She holds seminars in English and German as well as understands enough Chinese to respond to questions from the audience.
