The Future of Audits: AI

Can Machines and Software Replace the Human Auditor? Perhaps Much Sooner Than You Think!  Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are changing the world of professional services.  In the legal profession, big data and machine learning are already used in performing due diligence and the automated preparation of increasing amounts of legal documentation.  But what about the financial services?  Will the role of the auditor one day be obsolete?

Come along to hear the answer to this question and more in the next event supported by the Chamber’s Financial Services Focus Group. We have invited PwC colleagues Zach Noling and Stuart Canvin to discuss with members the future of the financial services profession and in particular the evolving role of technology, automation and AI in the external and internal audits of organisations.

This interactive discussion will focus on the evolution of the audit from yesteryear’s paper-based audit to the modern tech-enabled audit, foreshadowing the future tech-embedded and automated audit.  The speakers will cover the existing use of AI in the present day through the use of current and evolving technologies in the audit process of the future such as blockchain, machine learning and increasing forms of automation.
