Published on 2017-07-17

The Chamber has produced a video telling the story of the Bright Eyes Project so far, and the impact it has had on the children, teachers and volunteers who join the trips to Lixin County, Anhui province.

Since October 2014, the Chamber has operated the Bright Eyes Project, a CSR initiative that helps protect the eyesight of children and teachers in Lixin County, Anhui Province through a series of eye-testing, education and the donation of glasses.

Since the project started almost three years ago, we have

  • Visited 36 schools
  • Tested the eyesight of over 11,000 children and teachers
  • Donated over 2,300 pairs of glasses (each person receives two pairs)
  • Been supported by volunteers from 20 member companies

Below is a video that shows the story of the Bright Eyes Project from the perspective of volunteers, teachers and the children themselves.
